SPEAKER_00:

These are the goals that I set for 2026, but you have permission to change, to tear up, to disrupt my plans so that they can be a perfect alignment with your perfect will for my life. That comes with trust and the Lord was like, I got you. Welcome to the Finally Healed Podcast, where we prioritize mental health, self-care, and embracing our healing journey together. When I tell you that I am so proud of you, like I know you had all of these goals and dreams and wishes and desire, and 2025 was gonna be your year. And sis, let me tell you something. Whether 2025 you accomplish all of your goals, your hopes, your dreams, and your desires, or not, it was still your year. Let me tell you why. Because you're still here. You are still here thriving, looking fine, looking fresh. You are amazing. And I just want to tell you, I'm so proud of you. I know this time of year can be so challenging, y'all. Like I know some of you feel like you're already done with 2025, like you are so into the future on 2026. But I just want to pause you for a minute. Since I know you're ready to do your vision board, I know you're ready to celebrate for the new year. But let me pause you for a minute because we still got work to do, right? And so sometimes this time of year can feel very conflicting because one on one hand, you might be worried about some of the things that you didn't achieve. The other thing, sometimes the new year brings what I call new delusion, meaning we think because the calendars have changed over, that our our mindset has instantly changed. But that lets me know that we have more inner work to be done. So before we start setting these big goals that I know and I will prophesy over you that you will achieve, I just want to spend some time reflecting and releasing so that we can actually receive the restoration and start the new year off renewed, revitalized, but that's only gonna come from self-reflection. And so, as your big sister, whether I'm technically older than you or younger than you, today I'm gonna be your big sis and we're gonna have some honest conversations and dialogues because I believe that self-reflection mixed with self-belief is truly gonna allow you to have 2026 be the best year of your life. Don't you want that? Like, don't you want the new year to feel new and exciting and it not wear off within the first two weeks? Like, I believe that's your portion. I believe the absolute best. But we're gonna have to look back a little bit. I know there's a temptation of, you know, the year's over, I don't want to look back, but I know anytime I spend time and deep reflection from a place of honesty, so much comes out of that. And I'll I'll start with a little honesty and vulnerability so that I can meet you there. When I look over this year, I had to be honest that there were some spaces and places that I wasn't really letting God lead and guide me. Let me say, let me say that. Let me be honest. There were some decisions I made. There might have been some people that I associated with, there might have been some places that I did that I might have just gone out of emotion, right? You know, sometimes we get an invitation, we just say yes because we're excited, or there were times where I wasn't even checking in on my mental health and my well-being. I was just saying yes to stuff. And so I realized this is why the scripture is so clear in I believe Proverbs 3, 5 through 6 that says, trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Because so it's so easy to lean on your own understanding. And it says, acknowledge his ways and all you do, and he will direct your path. I realized one, I wasn't trusting. And I think sometimes it's okay for us to identify that we still got trust issues, and that's okay as long as we're working on it. And I realized I there were in some areas of my life I was leading and guiding my own self. And so if you desire to kind of have that softness and that soft life in 2026, it's going to come from releasing your own way and releasing your own desires. I believe everybody has to have a word or intentionality or a phrase or um a scripture or a mantra or something to root your year in. And initially I was like, oh, my year gonna my word is gonna be consistency. Let me know in the in the comments, put down in the comments what your word for 2026 is going to be. I was like, oh, my role, my word is gonna be consistency because I need to be in the gym and I need to post this content. I do all of this stuff, and all of that stuff was okay, but it was self-seeking. And so when I asked the Lord to submit your plans, trust the Lord and everything you do, okay. I trusted the Lord, I said, Hey, these are the goals that I set for 2026, but you have permission to change, to tear up, to disrupt my plans so that they can be a perfect alignment with your perfect will for my life, right? That comes from trust. And the Lord was like, I got you. Your word for this year is surrender, right? And ironically enough, I was at an event recently doing a keynote, and then I break out in songs singing, I surrender all. And so it doesn't surprise me that I am now having my intentionality for 2026 to be surrendered because I feel like if I surrender my plans to the Lord, He can make them perfect. If I surrender, that is a different heart posture that is not self-seeking. And I believe, I declare, and I decree that 2026 is gonna be the best year of my life because I'm not going into it with just my plans. I am open to whatever God is going to be able to do. And so I want to encourage you as you're reflecting on 2025, be honest with yourselves on the highs, on the lows, on the things that worked, on the things that didn't work. Like I like to do this in solitude, right? I'm actually going away again to retreat. I am huge on retreating in the month of December so that I am properly reflecting. And I'm not gonna lie, I like to, I like to reflect at Chateau Alain. It's one of my favorite places. I like, I like to reflect in luxury, okay? I like to reflect um while having a delicious treat. Okay. Like I like to reflect and see beauty and wonder. And so I want to encourage you as you're even thinking about what is important to you going into the new year. I want you to have a rest plan. Yes, okay. I know we want to have the the beautiful vacations and we want to achieve all these dreams and get more followers and grow our business or get a promotion, all those things. But can rest, can rest be a part of the plan? Because I don't know about you, but when I'm rested, like I can think more clearly and I can accomplish more things. So I believe if you go into the the new year from a place of reflection and then you're willing after reflecting to release. See, there's so much power in release, it can be so easy to hold everything in. I remember I went through a season, and let me know in the comments if you can relate. I went through a season where I was suppressing, meaning I would have different situations and circumstances and challenges come up in my life, and I would say, I will deal with that later. Can I tell you a secret? Later never came. It just never came. It was never convenient for me to work on my stresses and my challenges. And so I stuffed so much that that's when depression showed up. That's when anxiety showed up. That's when fear, that's when unbelief, like all of these things are associated with suppressing. And so as we're having this very honest, vulnerable conversation, there are some things that you know you need to release. There's some stuff that you're carrying that you cannot afford to take into the new year because it's going to distract you from your purpose and your alignment. So I want you to be really honest with yourself, what that release might look like. Now, for some of you, it might look like grief. As I've become a lot more emotionally intelligent, spending more time working on myself and my emotional well-being, I realized that grief shows up in so many different ways. You can lost the identity that you had, you can lose wanting your life to look a certain way and it doesn't look that way. You could be dealing with some resentment, you could be dealing with some just unprocessed emotions and trauma that's showing up in your life unexpectedly. And as you have these goals and these dreams and these desires, we can't afford this emotional weight and challenges to hold you down when you were born to thrive, when you were born to achieve things that have never been done before in the earth. So as you spend the time reflecting, as you spend the time releasing, I believe you're going to go into a season of restoration. Yes, I believe that restoration is your portion. And that is going to happen when you release. I promise you that a restoration that you have been desiring and you've been praying for, and maybe even fasting for is coming to you when you're willing to let go of things that no longer serve you. And then you'll be able to go into the new year renewed and revitalized with this energy and excitement. And this will allow you to be consistent in the gym past the two weeks like everybody else. This will allow you to be excited as you're reviewing your goals throughout the year. We don't want to just set these vision boards and these goals. And I'm telling you, vision boards work. Setting your goals. My husband and I, we actually had a strategic planning two-day meeting for our family and our personal lives. And then I have a whole nother one next week for my business. So I am huge on the strategy and coming up with things and being intentional and planning and all of those things. Please still do that. But I'm just saying, before you plan, release. Before you build, reflect. Because without those two things, belief is going to be missing. And y'all know how much I believe in the power of belief. So much so, I created a whole resource for you that is completely free called the Belief Blueprint. If you check the show notes, you'll be able to find out how to download your free copy because I want you to go into the new year with belief higher than it has ever been before. So we have come to my favorite part, which is the healing moment, where we're gonna release some stuff. We're gonna give some homework so that we can actually achieve all of the things that we hope and dream and desire to happen. And your homework is to go somewhere quiet. If you can, go somewhere beautiful. If you're a mom, you might have to lock yourself in the bathroom, okay? Get you a notepad. Don't even use a note section in your phone. Like I want you to go old school, pen to paper. And I want you to identify the one thing. I know there's probably 10 things, and that's okay if you got a lot, okay? But I want you to be honest with yourself. What is the one thing that you cannot afford to take with you into 2026? What must you release now? And I want you to start walking yourself, start coaching yourself, start counseling yourself through the process necessary to release. It is okay that if I'm sharing this with you right now, that tears might be rolling down your face. You might be thinking, some of you might feel a little bit stuck. It's like, man, like I'm nothing's coming to mind. Sit with it a little bit longer. This isn't something that might not just come with you immediately. You might actually need to sit, get quiet, rest, journal, pray. Like it might cost you something to identify what needs to be released. But when I tell you, what it's going to do for your life is completely worth it. So I just want to tell you, I am proud of you since you crushed it this year as you're going into this holiday season. Take a little time for yourself before you give everything to everybody else so that it can still be a good season for you too.
